A new chapter in cooperation between China and Australia in traditional Chinese medicine

On April 30, 2026, Dr. Michael Li, Honorary President of the Australian Chamber of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ms. Zhu Guizhen, Vice President of the Jilin Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Industry Association, signed an international cooperation strategic agreement at the Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center Hotel in Jilin Province, China. In this context, the signing of an international cooperation strategic agreement between the Australian Chamber of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Jilin Provincial Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Health Industry is of great significance. It will effectively promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine service trade internationally, and realize the development plan of Jilin Province's hundred billion level ginseng industry.
The Australian Traditional Chinese Medicine Chamber of Commerce and the Jilin Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Industry Association will actively participate in the formulation of international standards and rules for traditional Chinese medicine represented by Jilin ginseng, based on their respective resources. They will also participate in and promote the establishment of an international economic and trade dialogue mechanism for traditional Chinese medicine, serve to build a platform for international supply and procurement of traditional Chinese medicine, participate in international economic and trade negotiations for traditional Chinese medicine, respond to trade frictions, trade remedies, and anti discrimination work. They will guide and promote member enterprises to actively participate in the global division of labor and cooperation in the traditional Chinese medicine industry, benefiting humanity.
