Introduction to Jin Sanzhen

Jin's three needle therapy, in short, is a school of clinical acupuncture and moxibustion acupoint treatment based on the "Jin's three needle" group of acupoints formula founded by Professor Jin Rui. Jin San Zhen refers to the acupuncture therapy of selecting three acupoints at a time. The inventor was Jin Rui, hence the name Jin San Zhen. It is simple, easy to learn, and practical and effective. After the publication of the "Jin San Zhen Therapy" compiled by his disciples, its influence at home and abroad is steadily increasing. Jin San Zhen therapy has also become a national level medical continuing education project of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine for many years.

1、 Why is this research of great significance?

Jin Sanzhen is a representative school of acupuncture and moxibustion in the south of the Five Ridges. It is famous around the world for its "three needle formula, standardized acupoint selection, and accurate curative effect". It is widely used for the rehabilitation of encephalopathy, pain, emotional disease, and chronic disease. It has spread to more than 30 countries, including Australia, the United States, Britain, and Canada, and is recognized by overseas patients and Chinese medicine practitioners.

But there are long-term pain points:

• Scattered literature and inconsistent terminology make it difficult for frontline doctors to quickly obtain authoritative solutions

General large-scale models are prone to fabricating content and lack traceable evidence support

Overseas traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and grassroots general practitioners lack standardized and intelligent auxiliary tools

In this study, the experience of traditional acupuncture and moxibustion → structured knowledge → AI intelligent question and answer is used to make Jin Sanzhen truly verifiable, credible, teachable and usable.

The project team has integrated nearly 10 years of high-quality clinical research and 4 authoritative monographs, achieving three core breakthroughs:

1. Build the world's first specialized knowledge graph for Jin Sanzhen (KG)

Covering over 80 diseases, 360+standard acupoints, 55 core formulas, and 298 treatment plans

921 nodes and 3745 relationships, presenting a complete logic of "disease prescription acupoint effect"

Verified by expert annotation: Main acupoint F1=0.952, auxiliary acupoint F1=0.859, highly accurate and reliable

2. Build a knowledge graph+large model hybrid intelligent question answering system

Adopting the RAG retrieval enhanced generation+hierarchical confidence output strategy:

• High credibility layer: strictly derived from the graph, 100% traceable, zero fabrication

• Supplementary layer: General knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, clearly labeled and not misleading clinical practice
