Recently, Dr. Chen Jianchao, President of the Australian Chinese Medicine Association (ACMCA), Mr. Zheng Maoqiang, Honorary President, Ms. Xia Rong, Director of QGS Pharmaceutical Factory, and Dr. Li Tong, a pioneer in Chinese medicine education and research in Australia, held a special meeting with Professor Zhang Xudong and Professor Li Chunguang, Dean of the National Institute of Complementary Medicine (NICM) at Western Sydney University, at the Westmead campus. Through in-depth consultations on three core issues, namely the establishment of the Australian Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, collaboration in traditional Chinese medicine research, and empowerment of TGA registration for Chinese medicine enterprises going abroad, a series of preliminary cooperation consensuses were finally reached.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Chen Jianchao first reviewed the development vision of ACMCA since its establishment. As the theme of the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce's "Light of Inheritance", we have always been committed to building a communication bridge between the Chinese and Australian traditional Chinese medicine industries, allowing this Eastern wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine to shine in multicultural Australia. Both parties have reached a preliminary consensus on the landing of the Australian Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Chen Jianchao introduced the core vision of museum construction, emphasizing that as an important carrier for the dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture and industry integration, it needs to balance cultural display and practical value.

Mr. Zheng Maoqiang highly praised the advanced research laboratories and beautiful teaching environment of Western Sydney University, stating that the university has research advantages, and the Chamber of Commerce has market and practical advantages. If both parties can combine, it will accelerate the transformation of cutting-edge laboratory achievements into health products and services that benefit the public.

Professor Zhang Xudong stated that Western Sydney University will rely on its academic resources and venue advantages to provide academic support for museums, as well as support for the transformation and display of scientific research achievements, in order to help create a benchmark for overseas traditional Chinese medicine exhibitions that integrates cultural science popularization and academic exchanges.

Director Xia Rong introduced the latest research and development achievement of local pharmaceutical company QGS - Manuka Leaf Extract QV0. QGS specializes in the research and production of traditional Chinese medicine and Oceanian herbal medicine. We are willing to cooperate with domestic and foreign scientific research and medical institutions to support the development of traditional Chinese medicine. This achievement also provides new scientific basis for the development of local herbal medicine.

In terms of cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine research, ACMCA will integrate resources from Australian and Chinese overseas traditional Chinese medicine enterprises to provide industry demand and application scenarios; Western Sydney University leverages its research advantages to conduct research on Chinese herbal medicine development and efficacy mechanism verification around Australia, promoting the clinical application and industrial transformation of scientific research results.

In response to the TGA registration difficulties faced by Chinese traditional Chinese medicine enterprises going global, both parties have reached a consensus on collaborative empowerment. A team of experts from Western Sydney University provides professional support for TGA registration policy interpretation, clinical trial design, safety data verification, and other related services to business association members; ACMCA will play a bridging role in the industry, screen high-quality enterprise resources, establish communication channels between enterprises, universities, and regulatory agencies, and help enterprises reduce registration compliance costs and improve application efficiency.
